I always see people who did Physics, Chem, Physics, MX2 and manage to band 6 them all.

Realistically if you want to do this how much do you have to study a day?

depends how "smart" you are or moreso how much experience u have with the subjects before hsc. if you've been good at physics since year 10 and have a really intuitive sense of what happens in the subject then the time you put in is gonna be less than someone who has barely done anything in physics before and has to get up to speed on the subject. there are definetly people who did 1-3 hours a day and did really well, but these people are the minority and i'd say for most people, 3+ hours of good study a day is probably a more realistic measure, but again to each their own

i study 5 hour a day and do low scaling subjects. though i do study longer than others because i have slower processing speed and take longer to go through content

I'm only in 11 rn but I study for ~3 hours on the weekdays and 5 on the weekends including tutoring. However its not spread evenly. For example on Fridays and I do absolutly no work while on Sundays I can crank out about 8 hours. If anything I have found that too much studying has diminshing (even adverse) returns and you are better of spending time excercising or sleeping.

also don’t worry too much about time it’s more about tasks done and results

From my experience, probably an average of 2-3 hours a day? Ranges a lot. Some days I did nothing, some days I did 2 3u papers and a 4u paper which takes like 7 hours. For MX2, I think you should spend a lot of time early in the year to finish off the course as quick as possible, and then your "study" just becomes doing past exam questions, and you should be trying to knock out a few papers a week. Obviously depends on your goals and that but I didn't really do much in timed cond other than when i was doing the actual HSC papers. 4u and 3u were by far the majority of my study. Chem genuinely you can spend like one hour a week on and get a band 6. I didn't get serious about chem until the week before the exam and before that I would just do an hour a week of learning content. the Peak papers are great hsc prep. Physics is for soyboys so no comment on that
