Hey everyone i was just wondering does early entry really matter? Like if you don't get one for year 11 how hard is it really after the hsc with a 95+ atar? esp for unis as USYD and UNSW? @jimmysmith560 could you help? Thankyou!

Hey everyone i was just wondering does early entry really matter? Like if you don't get one for year 11 how hard is it really after the hsc with a 95+ atar? esp for unis as USYD and UNSW? @jimmysmith560 could you help? Thankyou!

Early entry is nice to have as a backup but if you get a 95+ ATAR that basically allows you to do pretty much any degree from any university apart from probably medicine or law. USYD and UNSW don't really have SRS or other standard early entry pathways like UTS/WSU/other unis apart from socioeconomic disadvantage so a lot of people aiming for those two unis will just get their offers during the UAC round that takes place when the ATARs come out. I know a few kids last year who just didn't do early entry cos they had their hearts set on going to UNSW or USYD so didn't even bother applying to other places. It doesn't hurt to go for early entry however, a lot of unis hand out early entry offers like candy
