For maths advanced, my rank is 67/146 and was wondering if I can possibly get a final mark of 88+? Last year our school got 24 band 6s for math advanced although this year we have accelerated kids (around 30ish kids), so would that mean a rank of top 50-60 is a band 6 or do I have to clutch HSC or am I getting a band 4 from this terrible rank?

Yeah that’s true but their cohort was much smaller than ours so am I still cooked? What would be a good mark to aim for then?

No but at the same time the kids in our cohort are all band 6 level it’s just that the accelerated are even more smarter so we would have 40+ band 6s

there will most likely be more b6s if there’s accel kids, they’re adding a new pool of kids in the year below without removing anyone from your yeargroup so should add at least like 10-20 b6s
