I'm not talking about clubs as in nightclubs, but instead UNSW clubs. From ppl there, what are the good clubs to join?

For what you are interested in and from what I've heard, UNIT and FMAA are the best of them (especially from a professional (networking) perspective). Ideally you would want to join their subcommittee in your first year to get the most benefit.

Other than than that, join some hobby societies. That's probably the other way to meet likeminded people and make some friends if that's what you are after.

just join whatever’s relevant and/or interesting to you and go to events. joining a society really isn’t a big deal it’s just like one click, if you go to an event and don’t like them just don’t go again
