i do accelerated 3u math and i fucked up the hsc yesterday, idk how bc it was an easy test i just wasn’t thinking straight. but it’s making me wonder if i should repeat just to get a better mark but im worried that it might be too stressful next year as i was already super stressed this year with only 2 hsc exams. and i really don’t wanna do it all over again but i feel like i have no choice now bc of how badly i fucked up that exam

I'm kinda in the same boat, Imma just wait till results come out and worry about it then. I think its unlikely I'll repeat tho bc I've already put in so much effort and I don't wanna redo it

yeah right it’s so annoying that all my effort through the entire year went to nothing bc of a shit test performance

Don't worry about it now though, cause we can't really do anything about it at least until results come out, so save yourself the stress and worry ❤
that is true! i’m trying not to think abt it as much and just relax bc hsc is done😆😆

wait till results come out, if you're satisfied with your performance then don't repeat, i know a lot of people (myself included) who repeated adv and/or ext 1 maths and everyone finds themselves in a much better position when repeating, even though you do have the added workload

year 12 does become very heavy and busy but i found that you get more used to it because you learn from mistakes during year 11

How does it work if we wait till results? If we repeat do we need to catch up on the first assessment task from term 4?

I mean if it's crazy disappointing and might affect your atar badly or something then I guess you could try again, but you absolutely can't settle for a lower or mid mark in the retry bcz that's the mark that will count, and like others are saying you have more subject to worry abt next year so overall it's just gonna be more work to try again (successfully)

I think for now just relax you finished the exam and should be proud of yourself, there's no way to decide this until results are out anyway, you might have actually done fairly well you nver know

my friend who accel bio with me got like 85-89 or smth like rlly close to B6 and she could've just left it but she retried and got B6, I think it helps that you'd already have notes for the content, and be familiar with the exams and assignment tasks which is a decent advantage

but yeah don't stress atm focus on other exams and look forward to the end of HSC😁

i think it depends on the school, you could also always repeat this term and then drop it after hsc results come out if you're happy? i know people that did that
