nah they haven't done this yet as far as I know, havent seen anything for polymers in short ans but might be in mcq i dont remember haha. Also haven't seen any theory aspects of the analysis techniques for m8 (colorimeter, mass spec, nmr, etc and how they work) outside of mcq
Apparently they're removing polymers in the new syllabus tho so maybe they wont include a short ans for it:angel:

mod 7 is my favouritee, my teacher said its most likely this year is mod 6 focused which is gonna kill me
I fw mod 6 heavy LMAO I don't mind mod 7 too much but with the phys properties/soaps/polymers combo thing going I don't rlly like it, reaction pathways are cool though

but I don't get there mod 6 focus allegations going on?? like is it js bc chronological order since m5 was the focus for 2023 or genuinely have they not tested a lot of content from m6 for the last few years

mod 8 is the hardest imo. especially ion identification and stuff like that.
AGREEE, I fucking hate ion identification literally the worst.

Honestly the questions they've had for m8 so far are very repetitive I'm rlly suprised they haven't done anything unusual/harder with it yet esp considering the one 2019 sample qs were SIGNIFICANTLY harder than what they've been actually testing.

omg actually thats kinda scary that they've been repetitive coz they might make it very different and difficult this year.

yeahh I wouldn't be suprised if they give us one of those find the stoicheometry from the calibration curve or about how one of the spectroscopy machines function, could also give a rlly chunky m7/m8 combo (like last year but more writing) combining an organic synthesis pathway + asking us to validate that the reaction(s) has occured using spectras/functional group testing

what is the hardest paper in the new syllabus? just because i wanna practice that one first
probably 2021, highly suggest you do the 2019 additional practice questions tho they're pretty difficult compared to hsc qs
