do you guys know if you get an early offer from unsw through the gateway program if it has to be first preference on uac
Nope! I emailed them asking the same question but u can be considered for a firm offer without that degree as part of ur top 5 UAC preferences

my second option is bachelor of IT UTS, do u think I will get this?
lowest atar for that was 72.35 and median is 77.75 (median is usually more accurate if ur not gateway or disadvantaged or know ur not getting any extra points/reduced points) again idk u can put it in but have like a much lower backup just in case like a max 70 atar guaranteed so youll know u get in

Fuck me, got ATAR of 87.80 and the course I want to get into has a minimum 90 selection rank. 5 additional selection rank points awarded due to Band 5 in EngAdv so it takes it to 92.80. Yes, this meets and exceeds the minimum selection rank criteria but I just checked, the median 2024 intake selection rank was 99.95. Should I be worried? Will I get in? What the fuck will happen?

Guys urgent question if my current UAC application has a first preference that will only be participating in Jan Round 1, and my no. 2 preference will be participating in Dec Round 2 AND Jan Round 1 (and if I’m competitive for at least my second preference) will I be able to get an offer to my second preference even though it’s my second preference since my first preference isn’t participating in Dec Round 2?

I had an early offer from UNSW that if I got a certain ATAR, I would get into the course. However, I am 1.3 points short from this threshold. How likely is it that I still make it in, despite not meeting the criteria? Will they even still consider giving me an offer for that course?

Where did everyone go in general I thought this site would be way more active once ATARs came out 😭
i wasnt here this morning but it was prolly really active then. its been a good 12 hours since atars and stuff came out so it makes sense why it died down.

unfortunately its probably unlikely but im not completely sure
idk if UNSW is the same but I've heard that UTS is strict with their conditional requirement of min 69 atar so id imagine other universities are similar (i really hope im wrong and you still get the offer though)
