So in yr 11 I wrote a ton of notes with relevant syllabus dot points for each piece material. However, I have been seeing a bunch of videos that have beens saying that notes are a waste of time and flashcards are way better. I have been trying flashcards a bit and I think I am doing alr with them? IDk though. What are your guys thoughts?

I was thinking of making flashcards with syllabus dot points instead of notes because notes take me so long and I barley even look back at them.

So u reckon just soley used flashcards?

I think u should do both. I did both. Part of learning/memorising/understanding the content comes from actually making the notes. Just make sure your not copying the textbook word for word. Effective notes are composed of summarised content in your own words that only you understand. The way I do it is to make notes throughout the term and to make flashcards in the few weeks (e.g. 2 weeks) leading up to the exam.

And also, ignore what those 'study videos' say. (Well, not ignore, do take them into consideration, but don't take their word for gospel.) Everyone has a different way of studying that works for them. One study technique may work for one person, but may not for another.
