I’m no longer a 4u student unfortunately, did it last year 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑

in all seriousness, it’s not even an biased take lmao. The average 4u student is gonna do better in their other subjects than the average Arabic student

No its not just abt that i mean they could be doing 4u math n arabic right?
its just that those who do arabic r arabs born n raised speaking n communicating in arabic so its not hard at all to get grades in them unlike 4u math which no one can be born n raised doing that

they could be doing 90+ in all their subjects but bc arabic if u dont get 85+ ull get negatively scaled so its not abt ‘4u student is gonna do better in their other subjects’ an arabic student can be doing EXCEPTIONALLY well in other subjects but if they rnt doing excellent in arabic, oh well

wsg guys graduating in '26 and my subjects for year 11 are maths ext 1, eng adv, them, pe, business and slr (1 unit course for just year 11 where you do city2surf). was considering swapping business/pe maybe even chem for physics if I want to do engineering in uni and also for better scaling n that. was wondering about the workload and if you guys think it'll be fine since a lot of you are doing chem physics n ext 1

I don't know it's really about you and your capabilities but yeah I think it's better to swap one of the business/pe subjects of you're worried about scaling

For chem and physics they scale pretty similar, it isn't like adv to std english yk. However if you are leaning toward engineering in the biomedical side then chem is needed (other than that you don't), for almost all engineering stuff physics is assumed knowledge (looking at unsw requirements). It really depends on what/where you think your strengths lie in really.
"Chem is more understanding based, while physics you can kinda get away with memorising the formulas" - that's what a uni student said to me.
if you want to you can check out a few science ready videos and see what you resonate with!

I can't speak for the +ext 1 work load. I'm doing both chem and physics but not ext

also you go to girra? :0
