i mean i agree 60 atar is bad but you can still get that kind of atar without it being 100% your fault.
like say you got into an accident or seriously injured at the start of y12 and you survive and recover for hsc, imagine what that would do to your atar (your estimates are also gonna be really inaccurate to your performance if this stuff happens without you even doing a single exam). imagine suddenly losing your home or losing a parent or carer or losing all income. imagine going through abuse or something traumatic during y12 or hsc.
yeah these kinds of ppl get eas adjustment factors and still get into uni and stuff but their actual raw atar can get really bad. i feel like we should like think a little bit abt like serious reasons why ppl flop before saying dumb crap like this (not you
@Socialism )
also some people get early entry AND/OR dont give a crap also so is it actually important in the end if they get where they want to be? idk why everyone is so bothered abt some other person getting a 60 atar, let them get whatever they want bc if none of the "dropkicks" get atars under 60 or 70, all the ppl with 70+ would be distributed back into the under 70s bc the atar is a rank not a mark. it would make getting a 90+ atar much harder than it already is.
also after a few years even ppl who drop out or get crap atars can make a good living for themselves. has anyone commenting searched up what electricians and constuction ppl make, bc they dont even do uni and still make an above average salary
