So I have a multimodal task for english advanced we just got the notification today and I was wondering how to do really well that I can achieve the 1st rank and a comfortable band 6. I achieved a band 5 last year for another multimodal task as I didn't make the video engaging enough however I learnt from that but I just wanna know what are the specific steps I should take to achieve my goal of securing rank 1 and a band 6?

Thanks!

As an HSC marker let me start by saying that you will not be required to do a multi modal nor need a related text for your HSC trial or exam. It’s in the syllabus as something that is required for assessment only . So my first piece of advice is making sure the analysis of your text and your understanding is clear through tne written part of your multi modal . There is a risk that your presentation may not be as engaging as it could be but any marks lost would be minimalised by a strong written analysis . Address the question by engaging the marker and making him/her sure of your stance on the question. The main difference between year 11 multi modals and year 12 mm in English is theit Is a stronger focus on area of study and how you discuss it .
if you would like more assistance or tips feel free to send me a pm and I will do what I can to clarify

idk if this is common sense but many people normally lost marks for engagement in my cohort; try to make the script like a ted talk
