Guys what is something you regret doing (anything) before going into yr 11, im bored lol

picking SAC, stressing out too much in the beginning, procastinating too much, not mentally preparing myself for the crazy amount of work and expectations of year 11, thinking math would be easy like year 10 when it wasn't, kinda the same with bio and literally every other subject.
Edit: I just realised it was before going into year 11 whoops. well that's for going into year 11


Before going into year 11:
Actually putting effort into useless subjects. The only subjects I should have really tried in was math and eng and that was it. Also stressing out for exams and again putting that much work into year 10. I should have just enjoyed life and played games all day

Before going into year 11:

I legit had a unit where I got marked on how I interacted with peers on Microsoft teams
In said unit there was a person in my group that did not know how to copy and paste onto Microsoft word
Gotta keep it as easy as possible fam

– spending money buying the book list before y11 started,,,,,,, i have spent like $200+ on the books for bio and chinese, the former i dropped literally term one (both ext1s carrying me lets go) and the latter i'm planning on dropping the second i can in y12. genuinely, you'll want to identify like. 3 or 4 subjects that you will almost certainly keep, and refrain from buying books for the leftover subjects (just share with any friends you have in those subjects) until you're sure you're gonna keep them throughout y11 and probably into y12.

– not reading any of the english texts before y11 started. the poems you can get away with not reading. but reading the short stories and longer texts genuinely helps so much in terms of not having to play catch up or feeling lost every time the teacher skips a few pages or chapters. also helps in studying bc you don't have to both process the story and also highlight & annotate important quotes/techniques.

– not reading the syllabi & checking the past papers for each of my subjects beforehand,,,, i've started to go through the past papers and syllabi to get a feel of what kind of exams and topics i'll be getting later on and i'm just now realizing that maybe i would've considered dropping stuff sooner if i knew???

Still choosing the absolute worst matchup of subjects even when people told me I would drown (they were right lmao)
Make sure You're not choosing too many heavy subjects cause you'll have no time to put enough effort into all of them
Especially if you do a shit ton of extra-curriculars or have a lot of out-of-school stuff to do (like a job)

dang my final subjects had to be 14 cuz the school thought i would drop ext 1 eng

I chose eng ext1, math ext1, bio, chem, eco, business
- i think ill drop either ext1 for eng or business

**they told me ext1 eng is like a lot of reading but i dont really know anyone who does ext1 eng
i chose it cuz like it helps me read more and gain more knowledge on how to write good for other subjects?? idk sci and eco dont count right

anyways guys can yall give me some advice on which subject i should drop at the start of yr 11

I dont like physics bc its just so much effort and i put in none (hence why i failed) but in chem i put in sm effort (i spent 25hrs for my exam) and im still in the 70s
