its possible, lots of ppl found it easy, so a bunch will be clumped at the top

ngl yeah not 60 but definitely higher than previous years– in some its been as low as 45-46 goes to an E4. this one def has a lot more people at the top. im guessing mid 50s

2024 had a really good cohort, even with a very high cutoff for E4, 40% still scored an E4 (normally only 37% get an E4).

tell me how this exam was easier than 2021? I'd say this exam has the same difficulty as 2021.

2024 was a garbage exam with a good cohort as well, kind of like 2022 physics - alignment was ruined since the cohort was too good.


I think the cutoff should be 49/70, last year it was 52/70, despite having way less hard questions. in 2021 it was 47/70

2025 had more than 15 marks of what I consider hard questions (including mcq), 2021 only had like 14 (including mcq)

yup, it affects everyone since it means more raw marks are needed for an increase in hsc marks at the E3 range. (the hsc vs aligned graph is flater)

hypothetically if someone didn’t write their number in the spare would invigilators check? and fill it in?

The invigilators check all your papers and then you have to sign that blue sheet before leaving the exam hall after every exam

from where? it's definitely harder than 2024.

i mean just count the "hard questions", 2024 only had like 10 marks of hard questions, 2025 had significantly more.

hence it's reasonable to assume the cutoff will be atleast 3 marks lower (4.3%)

2025 MX1 E4 cutoff will be 49/70 (70.00%), since it was 47/70 (67.14%)in 2021 (just slightly harder)

No I thought it was harder than last year if not the same
Plus, 60/70 is way too high for ext, that's worse than adv, definitely not gonna happen
