congrats everyone for your amazing results everyone should be so proud of themselves!! graduating high school and getting an atar (regardless of what it is) is such an amazing achievement and i hope you’re all going to treat yourselves!!!

bos u will always hold a special place in my heart except maybe if i never came on here i would’ve got a higher atar but oh well
I treated myself with a monumnetal mental breakdown and panic attack for no real reason, I am extremely happy with my atar so I don't know wtf my brain is doing to me

Guys, I think I accidentally deleted the doc that had literally all of my hsc essays on it... which is weird because a few of them were definetly kept seperately and now just gone. Please tell me I don't need them, and I'm being stupid... Like, do you think I will miss them at all?
recover it

Does your hsc mark represent what percentile you are in? So I got a 98 hsc mark for advanced maths accelerated, does that mean I’m in the top 2 percent of candidates? How good of a score actually is that

Guys I just found out in Queensland and Western Australia, 25% of people got an atar of 90 or above. Meanwhile NSW UAC only gives 16% of ppl atars more than 90.

I'll say I got an atar of 90 to future employers as I believe I would've gotten an atar of atleast 90 in those shit states based on my NSW percentile

An ATAR is a rank. It just means that in Western Australia or Queensland, more people were not eligible for HSC as they likely dropped out. Your statistics are based on the number of people completing their HSC.
nope. I can gaurantee you the dropout rate is less in Queensland cause of dropkicks wanting to go to the gold coast schoolies + queensland being a dumber state by standardised testing (naplan)

even if higher pecentage of ppl dropped out in queensland, 16% and 25% is such a large difference

A little motivations soapbox.
For anyone who may not have received the atar that they were hoping for, it’s not the end of the world.
My atar in 2016 was 61.65.
I had since completed my bachelors, grad cert, and grad dip, maintaining a distinction average throughout my post-grad studies. I will have completed a masters degree by the end of next year.

lowkey i kind of regret it and would def use so much more resources from bos, school, etc. if i could. but when studying, i kinda used the bare minimum. literally doing homework in schools and when it came to exams, past papers from thsc (but like only 5 for each exam, excluding trials and the hsc). also wanted to add, not rlly abt how much resources u use but how effectively too so ig keep that in mind?

has anyone else seen the video of the guy having disappointing debrief over a 99.80
hopefully this loser peaks in high school

that moron probably thought he was entitled to a 99.95 from all time wasted studying even though he probably did shit in the exams

they use your best 10 scaled units right? cause i did 12 units, got higher in business studies than chemistry for hsc mark but chemistry was counted according to the atar notice
