Currently on Academic Risk Level 3 and have been thinking of switching from UNSW to UTS.

I feel shit being in UNSW, feels like everyone is doing much better than me.
Year 1 engineering courses were simple. But Yr 2+ courses has a much higher difficulty spike.
Also don't feel like taking ELEC2141 again. If I switch unis, I won't have to worry about that course again.
The UTS engineering courses might be more beginner-friendly.

Looking for advice on whether I should switch from UNSW to UTS. Experience in either UNSW/UTS engineering courses is preferrable.

miscellaneous info:
been checking social media constantly while studying which likely did affect my academic performance greatly.

( 5 mins study -> 5 min social media -> repeat)
i followed this plan because i heard it was important to give your brain rewards while studying (focused mode + diffused mode)
despite watching all lectures videos and watching additional educational videos on youtube, i still performed shit.
taking peeks at discord during study sessions was also not the way to go.

planning to use deep work to achieve flow state by disabling discord and muting phone notifications.
25+ mins study -> break (still deciding what type of break to use) -> repeat for 4hrs+
open to suggestions on how to study effectively

considering that unsw is 3 semesters while uts is 2 semesters, it may have a great risk if i decide to take unsw term 1 courses. if i fail, i won't be able to transfer until months later. if i pass, then... idk.

i've conducted mental simulations of risk/benefits for both unsw and uts and have decided that uts is the safer option

Can't say for sure whether switching unis is the best option. No motivation talk. Just do my best

Also aren't UNSW courses supposed to be accessible to even sub 70 atar people?

UNSW isn't Cambridge university. This is why UNSW has all those DEI schemes or engineering diploma/certificate pathways

surely anyone can pass, right?

you're right it was a DEI scheme which was how I got in in the first place, well technically it was Bachelor of Science -> IPT into Electrical Engineering.

Bachelor of science entry was the DEI scheme
IPT qualifications was raw skill and hard work, did well in my first year before I fell off

It's def harder to get into for engineering than usyd but if you get accepted for gateway it's happy days.
