I'm so cooked. I spent so long doing first and second derivatives, applications of the derivative and curve sketching with the derivative. I talked to one of my friends and now realise that I've been doing next terms content. I thought I was done the entire terms worth of content Now I need to speedrun integration and try learning trapezoidal rule before tmr

Yea tho I got the most eye opening results. 60-70% even though the syllabus was easy af

so that means you've probably done term 1 work
Just focus on learning the term 2 topics (ask your teachers for a scope and sequence if you haven't gotten one to see what you should be practicing and when

yeah lots of people struggle with that, dont worry
in that case id say you just need to do more past papers and try to imitate the sample answers as best as you can

1. The 2 chemistry classes got combined into 1(I had 8 students in my class, so it was near-private tuition) and now the class that we got combined into is an absolute mess. And our really good teacher just decided not to teach us and take the free period

2. Because of my chemistry times getting changed so did my physics and biology classes. My physics class is the quivalent of a zoo; people just walk around with their phones, fight each other and play games on their laptops. The teacher is really good though but idk how anyones teaching a class like that. It was really funny though because as my friend and I came in his first words were F**k i don't get paid enough for this many students(there were literally 2 of us)

3. My biology class is cooked im with a teacher so bad that i might actually do good. The joke in our school is because that teacher is so bad at teaching, to actually succeed everything must be done yourself (makes sense the guy who got sr4 was in her class) but she also dosen't understand the content enough to give out marks bc one time I went to argue and she didn't even tell me why I lost the mark just No. I had a good reason and my teacher supported it but lol i didn't get anything.

4. I got physics results and I expected 75 at least for the depth study and got 60. I can take a mark like that with feedback, but I didn't understand any of it so tmr I have to request a private audience at lunchtime to get feedback and hopefully more marks. BUT the people who beat me were lowlife chatgpt users. One of my friends got 78 and he started on the night before it was due without even doing an experiment and recording results. I have a picture that he took and sent of him using a report from a r1 student last year, ChatGPT and stealth writer but I'm not the kind of person who would expose him. Still its so annoying I know if it were a test, I can easily get top 4 WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE DEPTH STUDDIES.

5. SO last year I loaned my sister my casiofx82 and it got stolen so I had asked her to go buy me a new one. She gave me hers as hostage but it's abacus so I can't understand how to use it properly and don't trust it enough to take into a chem test. I use an fx8200au but I need the other one for scientific notation instead of switching modes which takes forever. She went to her school office and first they raise the price from 18 -> 25 and it said 18 on the website and they were talking to my sister like she was scamming them or smt. Then after that she got her laptop out and showed the office staff the website and they blamed it as fake into so it was still 25. She payed 25 and asked for a casio instead of abacus and they gave her a darn abacus. She argued for casio and they said why are you so specific and she replied that her brother dosen't know how to use abacus(it has such a bad button placement that I don't know). Then they told her to tell me to buy it myself, so when she asked for a refund, they said its already done in the system and gave her a receipt. After that she asked someone else from the office staff if refund is possible and they said they would check and come, she waited the entire lunchtime and they never game back. When she walked out that person was helping someone else entirely. Now I had to beg my parents to call the school for a refund bc what am I going to do for chemistry. I hate office staff they are all the same. Can't talk to students properly act sassy and essential stole my sister's money this is so cooked.

Nah there’s plenty of time to make a comeback. Lots of people bombed task 1 including myself

WHY DO WE EVEN HAVE DEPTH STUDDIES.

i mean the good thing is that you'll (hopefully?) never have to do a depth study ever again this year. at least for physics

cause also remember atar is a rank, not a representation of your marks. everyone can fail and you can get a 80% and get a good atar because you ranked higher.

if you bomb your trials (at least in my school those exams are worth 50+%) you might actually be cooked.

I don't think it's allowed for trials to be worth 50%. Max amount according to NESA's rules are 40%. My trials are 30% for most subjects which is the same as half yearlies this term
