With or without a test? They get really bad when they come with a validation test because that's just double the effort for no good reason. Although a validation test does catch out the people who use AI..........
i think mine are in class (idk how that works) but my physics teacher was saying something about bringing like cheatsheets or soemting and we do it in class

Cheat sheets are useless unless it's organic chemistry and then they're op
idk if that is what they're doing for chem aswell but i know for physics they are and its gonna be one mod 7 & 8 so she said we need a cheatsheet or something

I got 83 overall, so my recommendations might not be that good.

I guess try doing as many questions as possible and self mark yourself. Use 2001 to 2018 papers, most questions are still relevant. Maybe ask your teacher every bow and then also to mark the long response (especially) after you self mark (might be a good idea). This will allow to understand better how to answer questions

Focus on the 5 to 9 marks questions. The North Sydney Boys High School exams are probably the best on THSC. You could also have a look at JRAHS.
thanks so much!
but as somebody who's not studying the official hsc course, and in fact has little to no exposure to physics where do you think i should start? i dont think im quite at past paper level yet 😅

I don't think it's allowed for trials to be worth 50%. Max amount according to NESA's rules are 40%. My trials are 30% for most subjects which is the same as half yearlies this term
oh it must be 40% then. either way their worth a LOT. its a yearly exam so it makes sense to me idk

Have you looked at notes and done textbook questions yet? Pearson and Excel study guides are good. I think also Physics In Focus.

Also have a look at the Learnable and Matrix exams for Year 11 and 12.

Kinematics is the first Module and it is really easy, but do not underestimate it.
if im gonna be honest, my only exposure to physics is through ext 1 projectile motion and stuff like acceleration and velocity in ext 1/adv math so i really dont know much, not even the basic theory embarrassingly

ive been trying to learn it in my free time but i just feel a bit stumped

I self-learn everything beforehand because I don't go tuition and even more so because I'm not learning anything in class
- Use scienceready vids to get an easy grasp
- A+ Physics textbook
- Excel Studynotes Physics
- Ai just to simplify and make some stuff easier to understand.
man you should come to my school, apparently our physics teacher is really good. but thanks! ill take your advice 💪

How are trials worth 50 percent???? There is no way they can make it that if you mess up even 1 assessment task your cooked before hsc starts. Most assessment tasks will never be out of the range of 20-30 percent
yeah, i just learned its more like 40% though, so i believe at1,2,3 are 20% and trials were 40% making a total of 100% for internal assessments.

i remember my prelims were 50%, but i only had two assessment tasks (25, 25, 50)

lol thats like ext physics i guarantee most of it will be way easier you'll never see the stuff you do in adv, ext, or ext2. The formulas are nothing beyond year 9 level math the difficult thing is to be able to understand the relationships between formulae, be able to apply and use them in the right scenarios as well as combining them with a ton of theory at times.
that is true but the thing is i know the equations but i dont get them. i dont know why they are the way they are, like why is f=ma ? 😪

The one who puts 67 jokes in the exam papers lol
yup the bald goat!!
funnily enough though he actually hates 67. i remember i was sitting in physics class with my friends one day and i said 67 and everybody glanced at me with shame because he scolded everybody else for saying 67 before 🙃

Someone in ext2 was joking they got 67/82 marks in an adv test and the teacher took them out of the class and yelled at them if they were happy and wanted to move down to adv if they are getting that low.
lmaoo? did they actually get 67? 😂
tbh though ive been flunking my advanced tests (whoops), that teacher would hate me for sure lol
