Hi Everyone!! I'm in year 11, attending a selective school in the top 200 and I'm doing these subjects: 3U math, 3U english, chem, phys and 2 langauges. does anyone have any tips for each subject so that i can get within top 3 for each subject (other than phys), and eventually get a 99.95 atar for next year?

I'm planning to do 4U englihg, 4U math and sceince ext but im going to drop phys and one language subject for next year.

Why would you drop Physics? It’s the best. Don’t do the E1 and E2 English, it’s a nightmarish workload, especially if you want to do REALLY well. Do Adv Eng, 4 unit maths, chem, physics, and your language. E1 and E2 English is wayyyy more work than HSC Physics

I feel like I enjoy enlgish extension more than physics and for my first task, i only got 53% for physics but for enligh ext and adv i got 24/25 and 20/20...

If English is your thing, go for it. But for me, it is not satisfying at all. Memorising sucks. Memorising 3 essays for English advanced plus even more for English extension… brutal. And, you seem like a superb writer. Physics in Year 12 is predominantly a written subjects (ie a lot Less calculation questions). Physics also complements extremely well with Ext 1 and 2 content for maths. As I was saying physics is a predominantly written subject. It rewards those who can articulate complex ideas efficiently. This comes about in M6, 7, and 8, whilst module 5 is an extension of kinematics. And whilst you did poorly in kinematics, a bit of effort and strong willed study will show you that it’s all very simple. I would wholeheartedly recommend you continue both physics and ext 1 Eng at least for a term. I did Eng ext for a term. And it was too much work, and very hard to guarantee a good mark due to the struggles of adapting your pieces on the day.

ok ok... i see what you mean. You know what? I'll keep physics mainly because I really enjoy written questions. I'll make sure to brush up on my kinetmatics and maybe dynamics too... Thank you so much!!!
