No offense but what a fucking awful school.
Why they acting like the joke of a HSC physics is a smart subject? it's literally designed for people at a standard 1 math level.

if the hsc subject was like New Zealand's syllabus fair enough, but gatekeeping a stupid "what is F = ma" physics subject is crazy.
The retarded HSC physics syllabus doesn't even go through basic stuff that would be covered in every other countries' syllabus like rotational mechanics and capacitance, nor does if fucking require extension 2 levels of intellect to complete.
Isn't Penrith a selective school? Why are they gatekeeping STEM subjects, let alone an already simplified as fuck stem subject?

Yes it isn't, but the HSC Physics syllabus was clearly designed for people who only complete standard 1 level of maths. Any question involving numbers in the HSC is simply in a nut shell "compute F using F = ma using your calculator".
Check out what a high school physics exam from NZ looks like, it also isn't just maths, but where there is maths, it shows how crap the HSC syllabus is.

Do you go to a private/selective school? Did you have tutoring since year 7? Most people doing the HSC(like me) have pretty much no resources/support and hate the content with a passion. I still have suicidal thoughts regarding billy elliot 3 years later
My HSC marks were shit, but at least I didn't blow 10s or even 100s of thousands of dollars of my parents' money on meaningless numbers that have zero impacts on my future life.

tutoring only helps people to an extent. For the most part, the atar people get are in their own hands, which heavily correlates with IQ for subjects like ext 2/1. Overall, the atar moderately correlates with IQ.
What else did you not like; apart from the ‘easy’ calculation questions? I’ve completed the course, and I found it very enjoyable

a bunch of useless history questions that make us memorise pros and cons of countless experiments - something that does not benefit future study of anything physics or related to physics. Those questions are just filler dot points to make the syllabus seem deeper than it really is. We should've been taught rotational mechanics and capacitance like every other global curriculum, instead of wasting a month on learning a bunch of useless experiments from mod 7 and 8.
You're probably thinking of saying "but you learn capicitance and rotational mechanics in university anyway", well you could say the same about any HSC subject anyway, including maths.
It helps understand humanity’s progression in the realm of Physics. I feel like to say that’s useless is a bit naive. Sure, it doesn’t have a direct relation to practical physics, but it allows a baseline of modern physics to be ascertained and appreciated. And you said countless - my dude, there isn’t much. Gold foil, oil drop, Davisson-germer, cog wheel, hafele-Keating, Michelson Morley. , Chadwick’s parrafin. It really isn’t that hard, and understanding how human understanding came to be provides greater appreciation for what we know now.

The smartest people in my school, would get beaten by even the below average students in the nearby private school.
Smartest dude in my primary school went to my school, and now he's studying IT at a non G08. Second-Fifth smartest dude in my primary school who went to a fancy private school, is an insanely cracked student at USYD. Legit can't even mention his achievements, cause that could dox me.
Anyway I do agree with the moderately part tho. But public kids with no money for tutoring, and no tutoring through year 7-9 are at a very big disadvantage.

Yeah UTS. He got a scholarship at UTS, which is why he chose it over UNSW.
UTS is not comparable to UNSW for CS. A UNSW Engineer will be far more skilled than a UTS Engineer upon graduation. UNSW courses would have like 40 percent more content compared to a UTS course, adn teh assignments would easily be 2-3x longer.
