after I got my english mark I was called to the english staffroom where I got chewed out for 5 minutes by 2 teachers for my handwriting
how bad was it even... anyways i don't think the teachers should expect amazing handwriting in english exams like we are already short on time

lol my friend the other day was like instead of complaining about our handwriting, eng teachers should practice reading bad handwriting lmao
you find that modern and ancient history teachers can read most students „ illegible „ handwriting. i dont see why english teachers arent conditioned the same

Well, i am, I just hear about scaling a lot but no one tells me what it means properly
Think of it like a way to properly order subject marks so you can compare them to other subjects. So easy subjects scale quite badly, eg even if you get a mark of 80% on a test, it could be scaled down to 70% or so. Usually the harder the subject, the better it will scale. I'll give you two examples, a mark of 50% in Extension 2 Math will scale up to around 70% (add or take a bit!) but for something like Society and Culture, a mark of 70% could scale to 50% or 40%. Hope that helps
