When people put their heritage above all else, it creates hatred, division and resentment. When people put their heritage below all else, it allows them to understand each other instead of treating one another as outsiders.

I just find it stupid to wave the UK flag while "celebrating" Australia day, because it implies that we should care about our heritage (which I disagree with) and this is also the ideology of the Aboriginals protesting against Australia day.
