They give lots of time for this exam because you the drawing component, so normally you will have heaps of time at the end, stay even if you finish early all the way to the end and just keep adding more to the longer response questions, repeated things you have said worded differently, my...

I know this is a late reply, but the best advice I can give is to really know types of material processing and forming, such as forging, extrusion etc... and also the properties that accompany them. You should find the ones you need to know in the syllabus. Clearly drawing and truss analysis...

How much Year 11 is needed in Year 12 Chemistry?

Okay fair enough, I guess I just found the jump from acid-base chemistry of high school where only minimal maths was used to the first year acid-base chemistry where K values could be calculated and ICE tables were used. And yes thermodynamics is maths heavy, I think I like that having more...

How much Year 11 is needed in Year 12 Chemistry?

Yes I completely agree with you on that, but most first year chemistry subjects will have you doing many sub-disciplines. Well from my experience anyhow. Are there universities that offer specialised first year chemistry subjects? :) Would be interesting to know.

what if your atar falls short

If you look at 'the good university guide' not sure if they have an online copy! Maybe someone has it and could share? But anyway they provide all of the graduate statistics like that! Don't get caught up in prestige, in engineering faculties University of Wollongong last year or perhaps the...

How much Year 11 is needed in Year 12 Chemistry?

Yeah the high school physics is more of a history of physics in a sense. Interesting still.

How much Year 11 is needed in Year 12 Chemistry?

Yes, you will find that University Chemistry is much more maths heavy, the reason they limit the maths in high school chemistry is to make is accessible to people without a 'mathsy' background.

    Trigonometric Proof help

Okay that is 1000 times easier than what I was doing! I always fall into the trap of doing LHS first everytime! Thank you so much :)

    Trigonometric Proof help

So the problem is (tan^2x - tanx)/(tan^2x + tanx) = tan2x - sec2x I am completely stuck on it and have put it into trig solvers and they give me huge proofs, but it is only worth one mark so it heaps too complicated for the marks allocated. Can anyone enlighten me with the way of doing it...

    Seconds thoughts

I'm starting 1st year this year, and I have been super keen for my degree (engineering) and it has been what i've wanted to do for years, but now I am having second thoughts about it. If I am having second thoughts does this mean it might not be the right degree for me? Is this a common feeling...
