Im tied between mechanics and conics. The theory in conics is relatively straight forward, as well as most of the questions I have seen from
the Arnold Book.
For mechanics, I like the foundational theory such as the equations of motion for resisted forces, circular motion, motion on a...
Im interested in tutoring anyone doing Mathematics Extension 2 living in the Kogarah, Hurstville, Rockdale, Kingsgrove
or Marrickville area
I have a degree in both education as well as communications engineering, with a particular focus on engineering mathematics.
I have around two years...
Good Morning
Im a recently graduate of an education degree (specialising in mathematics) and am hoping to eventually teach Mathematics Extension 2 (aka. 4 Unit maths). As I have not studied Mathematics Extension 2 in school, I require a bit of help to bring my skills and knowledge up to...
In the Grove textbook, maths in focus book 1, Im having difficulty trying to solve Exercise 6.14 question 9.
I've attached a document below stating the question, showing my attempt at the solution and the actual answer.
Can anyone point out what Im doing wrong?
cheers
Good Morning
I am a qualified secondary school mathematics teacher who wants to gain some experience teaching
extension mathematics.
I have achieved a credit average for a teaching degree plus an engineering degree.
I charge $30 per hour
I am available on Tuesday and Friday

As an experienced engineer I can tell you maintaining good grades does not increase your chances of a job. Most employees will look at your experience rather than your marks, unless of course you go for a research position. Even then, research is a very small market, so don't bet your money on...
Does anyone have any used textbooks on orbital mechanics/astrodynamics?
A book Im particularly interested in is Orbital Mechanics for Engineering students by Howard Curtis,
however Im open to any other textbook in this area
thats a matter of personal opinion because it depends on what mark you want or your career ambitions.
For me as a maths teacher in training, I found the Cambridge Maths book to be the best.
biomed engineering would just need 3 unit maths. 4 unit is more for people who want to get into aerospace engineering in my opinion. Plus even if he does 3 unit, he'll still have to do 1st and 2 year mathematics at university as part of his engineering course
As a way to enhance my knowledge of the 4 unit maths syllabus, Im thinking of doing a university subject which covers satellite orbital mechanics.
Does any such subjects exist? If so can you refer me to the university that offers it and the university
subject code
Also, if any of you have...
i'd accept the offer from UWS. I wouldn't worry about transferring unis, since most employees in Australia or any other western country are more interested in your experience rather than what uni you went to.
However, if your really keen on working in China, Singapore or an Asian country, you...
Volunteer jobs are good for building skills and experience, however you do need money to survive. I'd suggest focusing on getting a paid job first, then get a volunteer job afterwards.
I graduated from a telecoms degree from UTS and would say the best parts of the degree was the one year mandatory work experience. However, I found the course structure to be quite poorly planned and supported, particularly for introductory to digital systems, circuit analysis and communication...
I graduated with a degree in Telecommunications 7 years ago at UTS. I found the job market to be quite restricted and ended up changing altogether.
If your very passionate about Telecommunications Engineering, I'd strongly suggest that you get some experience behind you to back up your academic...
