I don't think you can double major when doing Comm/Engo. If you combine Comm with Law, then you can potentially double major.
Also, if you're looking at IB/MC, then Comm/Engo (with a single Comm major) is a very strong degree. But if you are considering economics-related fields (e.g. RBA...
For Commerce/Economics, UNSW and USYD are virtually indistinguishable. I don't think the same can be said for engineering, but you'll need to consult with others.
I'm doing finance and business eco, and have found neither particularly challenging. It's probably slightly easier to score higher in eco because of fewer group assignments (vs. finance). Being quantitatively inclined helps a lot in economics (and finance).
Also, after doing the...
I'm doing Business Economics under the Commerce stream. Under Business Eco, I've done every course that you would do in a normal eco degree, bar ECON1401. So, effectively, I've completed a standard economics degree.
And with Business Eco, you can undertake Honours in either Economics or...
For Wharton and NYU, 90 is the bare minimum. My mate has a WAM of 91 and didn't make it to Wharton.
For the California colleges, I don't think you need a WAM of 85 ... fairly sure ~75 would suffice.
If I had my time again, I'd do FINS3625 in sem 2. The assessments are much easier relative to sem 1.
It's weird that it's that way, especially given Kyung's notoriety for screwing people over in 1613.
T1 ECON2102 Macroeconomics 2.................84 DN
T1 ECON3101 Markets and Frictions............92 HD
T1 ECON3107 Economics of Finance............100 HD
T1 FINS3625 Applied Corporate Finance........79 DN
Overall WAM went down slightly ......
ECON3101 - Markets and Frictions:
Ease: 9/10
Content was fairly straightforward, which coupled with a nice assessment structure (only a mid-sem and final), made the course pretty easy. I actually found this course slightly easier than ECON2101.
Content: 8/10
The content was certainly...
Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2016
ACF is all about investment banking, i.e. corporate finance. It's fairly interesting and not too difficult. I'd do it in sem 2 tho, as the assessments are easier (average for our mid-sem was 54%).
