Yeah, thanks. I'm feeling a lot more confident this time round. Also, I had another look at my score sheet and realised that I had 16 fail items. All of them were for not removing my foot off the clutch. My score worked out to be 86%.
Anyway, only five days to go..
Congratulations Chromatic!
I too failed on my first go. I was really nervous though, that day couldn't have been any worse. I locked my keys in the car at one stage.. Anyway, I now have another booking for the 15th of July so hopefully then I pass! It seems unfair that all my friends have got...
Don't worry about it. The majority of my entries are over two hours. I do alot of traveling between states since my mother lives in one state while my father lives in another and the RTA said it was fine. When I went for my P's last week (I failed only because I was REALLY nervous and I was...
I had a driving lesson the other day and the instructor said that the proper way to change down gears is to brake, then change down a gear and then accelerate slowly. Also when coming up to a roundabout or corner to use the MISS technique. I think it stands for Mirrors Indicator Shoulder System...
Oh okay. That's how I originally learnt how to change gears but then an instructor told me otherwise so I stopped doing it. When you go down gears one by one, how do you stop it from jerking when you take your foot off the clutch? Do I need to go a bit slower before I change down or am I doing...
Thanks for taking me seriously.
So what you're saying is, when I'm approaching the roundabout I should just use the brake, and when I've finished slowing down and almost near the actual roundabout I change gears? Straight from 4th to 2nd? And if there's a car coming from the right and I stop to...
I failed my P's today because of "clutch coasting and freewheeling" according to the instructor. She said that if I didn't do that I would have a near perfect score. Anyway, I asked her about it but she didn't give me a clear answer.
What is it? I can't seem to find any information on it...
I'm not quite sure how I ended up on this site, but I understand how the OP feels. I'm actually going for my P's tomorrow afternoon. And yeah, I am quite nervous. But I've practiced parking and all that heaps and read the guide to the driving test book front to back quite a few times so I'm...
