That's a real shame. If I'd known the cut-offs would drop so considerably this year, maybe I would have applied for the Journalism course and tried to transfer internally to the double degree after my first year. Oh well, my offer to Social Inquiry/International Studies still gives me something...
Ooh hey Anne! Congrats on topping IPT, as if there was ever a doubt it would be you x) Umm for next year I'm hoping to get into Communications (Social Inquiry)/International Studies at UTS, but I got 0.65 below last year's cut-off so I'm just hoping I'll get lucky and manage to scrape through...
So, what's everyone's top 3 course preferences?
Mine are:
1. Communications (Media Arts and Production)/International Studies @ UTS
2. Communications (Public Communication)/International Studies @ UTS
3. International Studies @ UNSW
Would I be right in saying that the science courses are...
Hey it's Cyrille :)=)
Got 91.40, probably directly proportional to the amount of study I did this year (very very little).
How'd you go?
(And btw who's this? ^^")
I'm in the same boat, my ATAR gets me .4 above the 96 required for International Studies at UNSW with bonus points. Fingers crossed we both get in on second round offers. =)
LOL same here. Except I guess I deserved that reaction since I pretty much did shit all the second half of the year and now have a 91.40 to show for it. =___=
What are the chances of getting into a Communications/International Studies course at UTS with an ATAR 0.65 below last year's cut-off? I'm really hoping I can scrape through as I have heard stories of people getting into courses despite being a few points below the cut-off, but as to what...
Damn, STGGHS moved down 6 places this year. This is the lowest ranking we've had since I can remember. Can't say I'm surprised but still...the powers that be are not going to like this. x)
Oh God. I did French Extension and still only got 91.40, which means I must have done HORRIBLY. D=
...Well, horribly considering my prediction was 93.30 and I needed around a 92 to get into my first preference. Here's hoping the fates will give me a break already and knock down that cut-off a...
I agree, the syntax can be a pain especially when you're sitting in a speaking skills exam wondering how in the world you say something like "I did not give it to her."
I'm doing my mid-HSC exams at the moment, and for the Advanced English test we were allowed to take 6 pages, front and back, of notes into our exams with us. For English Extension we're allowed to take 3 pages front and back. If typed, minimum font is 12.
Has this always been the case for...
I wish I could fast-forward 2 weeks into the future, where I'll be letting my hair down at the school dance, looking forward to attending Lady Gaga's concert and finally getting time to work on something I enjoy, i.e. history extension project. :D
From most liked to least liked:
1. Modern History
2. Extension History
3. Ancient History
4. English Advanced
5. English Extension 1
6. French Extension
7. French Continuers
Although I like all my subjects, French is a bit of a drag purely because of our teacher. =/ Same with Extension 1.
