I can't say much for Baulko but I know Girraween does the HAST test, which I personally found wasn't something I could prepare for (except for the writing component). For the writing component, you can maybe practice writing expositions/essays and such - basically anything which involves arguing...
In then end, pick the school that you think you'll thrive in. Both schools are good. You should also consider the time spent travelling because waking up early is going to be a pain lol.

I hear the people at syd girls are nice. I also hear that there's a lot of drama at fort since it's coed (but don't take my word for it). Gl wherever u end up going!
I believe the entrance exam will have more weighting because it's standardised; but reports and extracurriculars will have quite a bit of weighting too.
Just bear in mind that you can only apply for 3 schools. I believe that reports will have less weighting for the schools that administer entrance exams; so maybe you could try out for those.

Being in a selective environment can really motivate you for your senior years; so by all means try out. You could surprise yourself this year. :)

Doing all the sciences is going to be pretty intense (soz this isn't helpful, but commentary is fun). Just make sure u can manage the workload and memorizing cus I hear u'll need it for chem and bio (but im sure there r others who can give u more info) :) see u when school starts
