  • I think if you asked anybody who attends the 3u class you'd probably get the same response. The teacher is lazy, and he doesn't teach very much. He's brief about explanations.
No. You have not been to preuni. Im not doing 3u there next term. The topics we have not covered (2u+3u) are: binomial theorem, perms and combs, the trigonometric function, Logarithmic and exponential functions, Applications of calculus to the physical world, Inverse functions
    Expected harder?

There really isn't much to it. There's just things that come up like sketching xlnx, or (e^x - e^-x)/2 (which is actually sinhx). Other parts of it are when they give you the graph of y=f(x) and ask you to sketch variations of it, like in Q3a) of 2000 HSC - those ones come up often.
Oh you should definitely do Integration, it is by far my favourite topic - it's so fun and a lot better than 3U Integration.

Complex isn't so great. It's Question 2 so there's nothing really difficult about it unless they throw it in a Question 6/7/8 with Polynomials.
Oh, I see. Curve Sketching wasn't really anything new when we did it. Just builds directly on 3U so easily, with just Implicit Differentiation pretty much. If all else fails, a table a values is the way to go!

What else for other topics have you done?
Exactly! A lot of people in my year are worried about the effects of scaling and aligning and all that jazz, I just tell them not to worry about it and just get what marks they can!
Maybe? I don't really concern myself with that, I just worry about getting the highest mark I can not what effects scaling and band marks have.
It is... But if you get 70's and then get 70 in the HSC then it's not going to be great is it?

    You should keep them then?
really? i thought fairies and robots formed an alliance 500 years ago, are you from the far outskirts?
Work harder in them? >.< I don't know hahaha. Drop one and keep Engineering?

What are you marks like in them?
