    State Rank Raw Mark?

According to my teacher it should be around 94-95, due to the difficulty of the exam.

No international competitiveness worsens because the of the increase in TWI or appreciation in the currency.

    multi choices

I said 0%, because 1% is only true for nominal change in GDP, not real change in GDP.

    Hidden unemployment question?

I said this as well, but I decided to tack on that the only time it will influence the unemployment rate is during times of boom, where favourable eco conditions causes hidden unemployed to start looking for jobs. Otherwise it will not influence it at all.

Ahhhh I now see your point. Hmmm now im not sure what is correct lol. I guess we will see once the paper and solutions are uploaded.

That is incorrect. Refer to page 112 in the Dixon textbook, it explains the what conditional aid is. Aid should not be paid back anyway, because its aid. If they wanted to repayments back from the aid then it would be classified as a loan given out.

Same, haven't seen his comments yet about the paper, but I think he will get state rank nonetheless.

Have a read of pg 289 in the Dixon textbook. By printing money, there is an increase in money supply circulating in the entire economy, not the short term money market. This will lead to inflation which will require higher levels of interest rates.

How is building a school unconditional. You aren't giving aid for the sake of giving aid. You are giving aid to build a school only. The aid is conditional as the aid given cannot be used for anything else. The 'condition' behind it is to build a school

No they didn't, apparent they said its a new rule this year that the bostes implemented. But seeing as people uploaded the paper for paper 1, im assuming some schools allow the students to take the paper home

Debit on capital, since it is conditional aid for building a school or something

I said the same things For question 7 I think I did contractionary policies for both. Apparently eco growth is sustainable at 3-4%, since eco growth was 4.5% and inflation increased heaps, I said contrationary for both

    General Thoughts: Economics

No it would cause an increase in interest rates, as there is greater inflation going on.

The only one I remember is question 1 and 14. For question 1 was prevention of dumping and question 14 was D.

    General Thoughts: Economics

That's correct, but only on one condition. Hidden unemployment will increase the unemployment rate if and only if there are good economic conditions incentivising them to seek for work, otherwise the hidden unemployed will not affect the level of unemployment, as they are not seeking for work.

I talked to my teacher about band cut offs, apparently the band 5 cut off should be much lower this year and the band 6 cut off should be lower by like 1 or 2 marks

Kinda disappointed they didnt ask about depreciation or cad directly, rather just asking how the macro policy mix can achieve economic stability
