[FINAL] Don't roast me too hard ♥

I'm not gonna estimate your ATAR, but it might be useful to give your Business HSC mark.

What are the chances of getting a 65 ATAR in 2016?

Yeah, I mean ATAR is just a rank anyway, it's not possible for people not to get in the 30's an all. Even if BOSTES were sadistic maggots and made the tests extremely hard, it woukdn't affect your rank much anyway.

I'm failing my HSC because of this.

    Prelim Physics Thread

Well he would do that in method 2 as well anyway, as for the final kinetic, as using that Fs formula assumes that mass remains constant. To derive W = Fs, you must assume that mass is a constant, so that isn't why he got it wrong. To be able to accurately calculate it using the changing mass...

    Did I prove this right?

Also for this one: http://m.imgur.com/jVMRqRd I have an infinite series for the real term and the imaginary term, but don't know how to work it out without wolfram alpha.

    Did I prove this right?

Nah, it's some random complex analysis textbook haha, hence why it's here. Anyway thanks heaps for your help.

    Did I prove this right?

Might as well lump this in this thread, for 3. (ii) in this question, shouldn't it be 2(p^1/2)cos((2m(pi)±Φ)/3). What happened to the minus? http://m.imgur.com/NOyrzrv

    Did I prove this right?

Hey, so basically I'm really not sure if my method for question 2. i) is right at all. I'm confident with the other parts, but if I've failed somewhere just let me know. Anyway album to working and question is here: http://m.imgur.com/a/1lSPf Thanks in advance!

Year 11 moving to 12 considering 4U Maths

I'd recommend you try to do 4U, if it gets too hard you can drop, and in my opinion it is much more fun and interesting than 3U. Really, from my experience it doesn't require you to give up every aspect of your life, I've been able to do really well in 4U without studying 3 hours everyday...

    Australian Maths Competition

Re: Australian Maths Competition 2013 We had a chord question yeah, not sure if it was the same one. There was 64 points on the circle and it was asking how many chords you could form without any crossing over. I couldn't work that out.

    Australian Maths Competition

Re: Australian Maths Competition 2013 Did anyone else get 38 for the last question in the senior exam? Me and my friend both got 38 and so we're hoping we got it right.

How to prepare/organise myself for the yearly's?

Well basically I only have experience with finals for prelim maths, but basically all you need to do for maths is past papers. Enough practice will basically guarantee high marks. Physics can be the same depending on how much maths your teacher wants to put into the test. The other subjects are...

To the students from top ranking schools... Everyone is welcome though

Haha my school is also really terrible, there's probably ~ 4 people who have a good chance of getting over 95, and then there's some more who could do pretty well, and then after that the drop is exponential. The thing is, from those 4 people, 2 are really bad at English. So we'll see.

Taking up extra-circulars in Year 11

Yeah, we only have to do 2 hikes, but I like hikes so I sometimes go on extra, which increases the number.

Taking up extra-circulars in Year 11

Yeah, I think having extra-curricular activities is very beneficial. Personally, I play soccer and guitar, and am undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh award (which means I volunteer every week and go on hikes 3-4 times a year). I still do really well in my subjects, and never really feel as though...
