what is your class up to?

Ext 1 Maths: Polynomials 2 Ext 2 Maths: Finished complex numbers, polynomials next I think. Apparently we are going to do the whole graphing topic in one day with a heap of schools from the region.. Physics: Towards the end of space, Chemistry: Galvanic cells and such Legal Studies: Uh not...

Should i get a job in year 12?

You definitely should have a job if you can manage it. Getting out of school with no employment on your resume doesn't help you very much. Also can teach you many valuable skills. I work as a kitchen hand in a local restaurant, which has taught me more about time management then anything else.

What happens If you drop 4U half way through year 12?

At my school you receive an estimated mark for 2u assessments if you drop out of 4u.

    Dropping a Subject Advice Please

My careers advisor strongly recommended I drop at least one subject, but I think I can cope with 14. I'm hoping I can anyway.

    Dropping a Subject Advice Please

Keep them for the time being is a good idea, HSC course differs from the Prelim Course. If you start struggling by the half-yearlys (maybe before), consider dropping something then. I'm most likely going to keep 14 units (including Extension 2 maths) for the HSC.

    Improvements.

Finished last exam today :-D Also, rethinking my plans for year 12 as far as subjects goes, I'll definitely have a think about that over the holidays.

How to study for the SC?

Practise the online multiple choice in each subject. Maths is just practise, if you are doing the highest level maths, very few questions will require some of the harder stuff you learn, it's designed so most can be done by the lower classes. For science, ask your teacher for past papers/exam...

I got a scribe granted for HSC, should I use him?

If you choose to have the scribe, you can often ask them not to write and do it all yourself, still getting the extra time. Happens a fair bit at my school anyway.

How long does it take you to and from school?

Jump in my car anywhere between 8:30-9. Takes 5minutes max to drive

    Improvements.

Doubt I'll do much school related stuff on the holidays, just working and if the weather stays like this will most likely go camping at the beach for a few days with my girlfriend. Other than that, can't wait for year 12 to start.

Calendars for the 2011-2012 HSC Year

My physics teacher photocopies those ones the public school teachers get for us, really handy and convenient (weeks marked in and all).

    My Yearlies start tomorrow...nrggggg

First day of yearlys today, had English, thought I did pretty well. Stuffed up the essay on Othello a bit though. Maths tomorrow, shall be pretty easy I'd say.

    English Advanced

Depends what kind of person you are, my teacher (HSC marker) says I'm doing Band 6 essays and that was without memorising any for the Half-yearly. It's just putting the effort in and asking your teachers to review assessments before they're due and everything.

Whats your fav subject right now?

Physics is great No reason to hate English yet, but I'm sure it'll happen soon.
