    writing a 10 minute speech..

I tend to do 750-800 words for a 4 minute speech. That's at a speed slightly faster than normal. Slowing it down, id say about 700 in 4 minutes. So a 10 minute speech you might get 1500-1700 ish?

I'm preparing for an english essay in which we have 40 minutes to write our english essay for an exam. From what i remember, last year i managed roughly 1000 words in a 40-45 minute exam but some of my friends don't believe this and has left me unsure. Just curious, how many words would...

Just a quick question on ATAR

You defintely need to pull your rank up to get 96+, what rank you should be looking at is determined by the rank of your school. If your school is ranked 500 and you're coming last, it's probable you're fucked unless you catch up ALOT.

    Humanity in Bladerunner/Frankesntein

You can discuss what defines a human or the concept of losing one's humanity. Shelley's book talks about the pursuit of dangerous knowledge, this can be linked to the deterioration of Victor's character. You can then relate this to the context as Shelley highlights concerns about the excess of...

    Keeping yoru room clean?

Hahahha my table tends to get extremely messy during exams, piles of books and paper, especially whilst doing maths. After exams though i like to clean it all up, it just gives a nice refreshing feel :) Unfortunately this cleanliness does not last long, 3 days if i'm lucky haha

4u students and ranks in 2u

Haha, it makes no difference really, anyone doing 4u should be able to complete the 2U exam with their eyes closed as 2U knowledge is generally required for the 3 and 4 unit course

    catalyst

Your end point will depend on what indicator you choose and will certainly not always reflect your equivalence point all the time. Eg. When a strong base is neutralised with strong base, the salt produced is neutral hence has a pH of 7. The equivalence point is therefore at about a pH of 7...

Which textbook teaches the syllabus theory best?

Hence why it should be used in conjunction with another textbook (probably conquering chemistry)

Which textbook teaches the syllabus theory best?

Actually, you should go to the resource section for chemistry. Look for notes from Ahmad Shah Idil, get his syllabus summaries and use those as a reference/ model for your notes, they are godly :) You should still make your own notes, but pretend this summary is like another textbook.

    catalyst

The end point is the point at which there is a permanent colour change in the indicator. The equivalence point is where the exact amount of titrant has been added to your aliquot to completely neutralise each other.

Which textbook teaches the syllabus theory best?

Conquering Chemistry would be the best as it is relevant to the syllabus while still detailed. Jacaranda goes into far too much detail, while this is good, it's hard to tell the depth of knowledge you're required to know with just Jacaranda. Chemistry Contexts is also quite good, the level...
