i haven't read the text but one must be careful in such an aproach as the Bible also says that we are not to judge who will go to heaven and who won't - Jesus does that and he looks at the heart - something we mortals can't even fully comprehend.

2 years? maybe in some subjects yr 11 work is also assessed in yr 12 but otherwise? it's more the skills and knowledge foundation eg in English. imo as the HSC is so "important" they should give us more time to do less work than less time to do much more.
