try a simpler version of this problem. This means to do the problem on a smaller scale. say, 5 pirates, 100gold. wat happens if theres 2 pirate? 3 pirates? 4 pirates? then u do 5 pirates, which is the answer to 5pirates 100gold

it probably is. im guessing you also have to work backwords. eg, only pirate #499 and #500 alive. then #499 can take all the gold. in a sense, #500 is worth 0, #499 is worth 100 now include pirate #498. have to give pirate #500 1gold, and retain the other 99 for himself. #498 worth 99...

No, i haven't done ECON111, so i cant really give a comparison, but you should ask a 2nd year student for a proper comparison. I would rate econ110 difficulty 3.5/5 (5 being hardest) and im NOT good at econ lol. How is ECON111??
