yes thats what I was wondering but yep now that makes a lot more sense.

Someone please clarify how hard maths open book test is.

dont bring any paper in and do the test without any thing on you and in proper test conditions, after preparing for it at home.

    Complex Numbers

or a more complicated way: (w^2)^3=(w^3)^2=1 (w)^3 =1 Therefore w,1, w^2 are all roots of the equation w^3-1=0 Therefore Therefore Σ A: w+W^3+1=-b/a = 0. But yeh the factorisation is much easier unless asked for the use of polynomial entities.

    Complex Number Question for 2014ers

Ok first off all it is not obvious and you get a great deal of 3-4 marks to prove the first statement. But excellent work on the second part. Polar form would have been better but its ok.

    Hardest 3U Topics

you shouldve put a question mark on the 3rd digit of your atar and a 9 on the second digit hahaha

    Circle Geometry in 3D

Guys I keep seeing circle geo questions with 3d shapes inscribed in a circle/sphere but it still looks a circle . I cant stop seeing it without 3d and this makes it so much complicated. Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions?

    Full Examination Paper

Thanks. Good Paper overall Btw. Easier than chem for sure.

    Complex Number Question for 2014ers

    i) If tan theta = 1/3, show that tan 4theta = 24/7 and hence find the fourth root of 7+24i of smallest argument in polar form where a and b are real. ii) Derive an expression for tan 4theta and solve tan4theta= 1/2 +sqrt(3)i/2 :)

re: HSC Physics Marathon Archive Good Luck guys. Hope you guys 'kill' the test and give it in 1 piece.

Are you proud of going to your school?

new. its just a school like any other.

    polynomials

It is possibly asking you for double roots or asking you to find the concavity at the point by y'' and y' and therefore drawing a sketch to obtain possible number of roots. Believe it or not but that is 4U maths from somwhere in the second / first exercise hyperbole :).

? School? haha i see a bit of overconfidence. But thats still good, I am devoid of confidence.

How far to study in advance for physics?

Kosta bro all the way to ideas to imp. Leave med phys to classwork and knowing how slow the physics faculty goes, I wouldnt leave anything till the end.

    Question.

Yes thank you Menomaths, Ibibah. So the magnet would just fall through with a close time to that when the magnet falls through plastic tube. Therefore the explanation is that the eddy currents produced are minimal allowing the magnet to retain its kinetic energy?
