    exams

Well I probably won't get four HD's it is just a possibility, one or two subjects will be borderline and I will probably miss out. Macquarie Bank didn't even give me an interview this year so I don't like my chances:p.
  2. SoCal

    exams

I just had my last exam today. I think I might get 4 HDs this semester:D.
  3. SoCal

    Any instrument players?

Haha, I have no chance then:(.
  4. SoCal

    exams

Yeah, but who goes to the Cafeteria during exam time? OK, well I suppose people would, I was just thinking from my perspective:).
  5. SoCal

    exams

Haha, the University must have really gotten desperate for some money last semester. I don't see what the trouble with holding an exam in there is though, I mean you move a couple of tables and chairs around:rolleyes:.
  6. SoCal

what can I do if I'm sick?

Wow, that I didn't know. Still, I have never been so sick that I couldn't sit an exam and if I did happen to fall sick during exam period then after all the effort I had put into the subject during the semester I would just sit the exam regardless:).
  7. SoCal

    exams

Um, not that this really concerns me but if the University doesn't own the Hunter Cafeteria, then who does:p?
  8. SoCal

    exams

Ah cool, you got a job. With which company and for how long:)?
  9. SoCal

    Acfi2080...

Yeah, I got 13.5% or something as my answer by memory. It was the same question as the example given in the lecture, only much simpler:). How was it that the exact same question you asked before the exam was in it:p. What was question two? I can't remember it. Haha, the word is...
  10. SoCal

    Acfi2080...

Well the three hour exam strikes again! It is just too long and I always end up losing concentration and then need to rush at the end and as a result I didn't have enough time to completely correct a question I did wrong:mad:. Anyway, there were a couple of questions that I wasn't expecting but...
  11. SoCal

    exams

Yes, I can see that they are teaching some relevant concepts but they are not really showing us how we would use them in a job. For example, I am pretty sure I want to get into Funds Management/Portfolio Management or something similar but if I were to get a job tomorrow (after completing two...
  12. SoCal

    Acfi2080...

I am doing that subject next semester I think. I heard it is pretty hard:(.
  13. SoCal

    exams

Yeah, I agree. We have learnt basically nothing of practical use. For example, the other day dad asked me if I have any good advice on what shares he should invest in and I told him I have no idea, we don't learn that kind of stuff:rolleyes:.
  14. SoCal

    exams

Haha, good to see you have some confidence in what you are doing for the next few years:p. It may be easy, but it is still a lot of stuff to try and remember. How well prepared are you for the exam:)? Too me it seems as though the whole second half of the course (the stuff that Steve Easton...
  15. SoCal

    Acfi2080...

Um, I think you need to read over what you just wrote, it doesn't make sense:p. Anyway, an upward sloping yield curve means that short-term interest rates are lower than long term interest rates for debt securities in the same risk class. According to the Expectations Theory, interest rates are...
  16. SoCal

    exams

Yeah, pretty easy exam to pass but hard to get a High Distinction because to get the extra marks you really need to remember the stuff from early in the semester:(.
  17. SoCal

    exams

My first exam is on Wednesday, ACFI2080: Corporate Financial Decision Making. It should be easy as always, although having said this I will probably screw it:p.
  18. SoCal

    Acfi2080...

Haha, I don't see where the confusion is coming from:p. We both do a B.Finance which has Macroeconomics I and Microeconomics I as core subjects. I then chose to do Macroeconomics II and Microeconomics II as electives:). P.S. SoCal is much better than Merethrond:cool:.
  19. SoCal

    Acfi2080...

We do do the same degree, I just chose to do them and he didn't:).
  20. SoCal

    Acfi2080...

You are getting baker182 and I mixed up;). I was the one who chose to do Macroeconomics II and Microeconomics II (which I am regretting having done by the way:(), not him. He has only done Macroeconomics I and Microeconomics I, which are both compulsory for him too:p.
