ok, i was told that each spartaite in the agoge was assigned with a personal mentor who was one of the older members of the army like probably 23-30 or somethin.. aint sure.. and this mentor looked after the progress in the training and taught different militaristic techniques etc. probably...

i just found out, amongst all the divisions of the spartan military, 300 men were chosen by the king for his protection. they were called hippeis which is knights and had special position in the army. they were chosen annually from different age classes. it was a matter of pride and privelage...

i did go thru the text and look at other books too.. what i dont get is the wiered formulas or rather say "equations" using h and k!! like when the parabola is away from the origin, u change stuff in x2= 4ay thingy. by adding h and k and that changes the focus and directrix and i just cant seem...

i did look it up, its heaps similar to what i did in psychology in india!! the eye and ear and its function and different parts of eyes and ears and what each one does and how the info travels etc. i think thats all the chapter talks abt, i looked in the excel guide.
