Thoroughly agree with this. Notes are pretty important, but just understanding content+answering past paper questions and perfecting exam technique is far more important IMO
I did Geography for Year 11 (just dropped), but how I studied was reviewing skills from past papers/skills books and writing practice responses for different exam style short answer questions/extended responses. Skills are important to understand early on because they are essentially free marks...

On another note, having mixed feelings about Year 12, not sure if I'm excited or nervous :s
Agreed, you really can't afford to burn out halfway through year 12 :p
IMO you should really drop down to 12 units or even 10 later on so that you'll be able to stay on top of everything.
