I concur. But my interviewers seemed only to use a few parts of my "CV" as starting points...the rest of the questions they had written out in a standard list that they asked everyone, I think.

Neither. UNSW didn't do that. But other unis do, apparently. From memory I think Adelaide actually has on their website a guide to what you'll be asked in the interview. Friends have been asked to explain technical jargon in layman's terms in other med interviews.

We never got take home essays. How long does this have to be? Most HSC-type questions are 2-3 pages (for an 8mark question) max. We used the Clinard ed. for In Catilinam I, and it had some good notes at the end. Also try book translations of the text, for notes, etc. at the beginning...

yes, your point is taken. I think, though, that the culture of integrating rural practice into medical education has been renforced more and more in the past few years or so. They would listen, but I'm not sure how much they would favour you above everyone else. The interview itself is more...
