well most schools attempt to make the difficulty of their trials as close as possible to the HSC examination. that being, your marks should be a fair reflection of what you would get in the HSC. so yes, their predictions are usually good

i don't think this is a great idea. it can backfire so easily and u'll be pretty much fucked. just have a consistent revision program and know everything according to the syllabus

definitely follow drynxz's advice. I, like you, didn't do that well after the first set of exams but subsequently improved. I did end up doing fairly well :D

the uai is strictly private (bar universities etc obviously) . no one but you knows what uai you got.
