err not very much, no....I got a bit depressed when my teacher just went through every essay I did and told me a zillion things that were wrong with it. I think it will count, cos my final internal mark was 88 and I'm hoping to bump it up to low 90s. Unless I do fantastically in chem....

In my teacher's notes and the text for ethanol they seem to have a favourable outlook on the use of ethanol as a an alternative fuel. In one of the success one question answers it says that the Brazil experiment failed and it was later abandoned. This seems rather contradictory I was wondering...

haha, so really bored decided to dig up thread I started ages ago and never replied to. Yeah I know, you can learn heaps from studying by yourself but...it's best to have the teacher there. At my school they're severely understaffed esepcially in English - my teacher takes eng adv, ext 1 and 2...

oh not necessarily. If you go to a crap school and use selective high school kids notes for eg. But you shouldn't just read them, you should make your own notes around the notes, read them out loud and jot down things you find difficult.

there is a dot point on the pH of salt solutions, and a table in the chem contexts book on acidic/neutral/basic ions - this is, as someone mentioned, a hard dot pt - and the neutral ions come from strong acids and bases, the basic anions come from weak acids...I think, and the acidic anions come...

thanks for remining us lol I have ext 1 eng to worry about first, chem is really my achilles heel. If I get a band 5 I will jump up in joy and hug the nearest thing. be it man, lamp or tree. :p
