    Majority/minority judgements

Can someone tell me, for Magistrates, they're not referred to as "Surname J" are they? What are they called instead?

    Majority/minority judgements

I don't disagree with any of what you've said, but in an exam, you hardly have time to discuss every single judges slightly different viewpoint. You can't say that you should ALWAYS do something. It really depends on what's most relevant, taking into account time contraints.

Muslim Students demands muslim ONLY Prayer room at RMIT

I'm sick of this discrimination against atheists. If they get a room to be religious, where's a room where I can rant about how retarded religion is?

Muslim Students demands muslim ONLY Prayer room at RMIT

They want to be treated differently because they've been treated differently? How about no. Buy your own block of land and put prayer rooms in it.

    Majority/minority judgements

The majority judgments are the ones that you can use. The ones that are identified as "dissents" aren't really useful in a problem question because it's not precedent, but can be brought up in essays. When there are 5 judgments not identified as majority/minority, determine it by whether they...

The legitimacy of depression as an illness.

I half-agree with what you're saying, but people with a true mental illness are fucked up. You wouldn't tell a schizphrenic to harden the fuck up and stop hallucinating, would you?

Q: "What kind of lawyer do you want to be?" A: "A rich one!"

That's not true. A full-service law firm can do well in any market, as long as they put their lawyers where the work is.

    Health Law

Here's a firm I found Craddock Murray Neumann Lawyers Sydney Australia I think medical negligence or WorkCover is the main application of health law. Most of the bigger firms have a WorkCover practice area (I know Minters does).

    Employment prospects - D average?

Re: D average - clearing up What does everyone think about this? I don't think that smaller firms require D averages, but what is the lowest they would accept?

Who's afraid of the big scary law degree?

Foundations and history BS isn't law, give it a year before you think about dropping out. If I had gone by first semester only, I would have dropped out of law, but now I enjoy it.

    Best uni for studying Law?

I think UAIs are at least one indicator of a program's quality. If a course is in high demand, there are reasons for it. There is a reason that people want to get into USyd over UWS, and that's reflected in the UAI. I don't think location makes a big difference (except in the case of ANU...

    clerkship questions

The firms that have formal programs tend to be commercial firms, but plenty of them have family law and criminal law and other non-commercial departments. I don't know what firms are in perth but google it, look at your uni's career guide or go to cvmail.com.au. If you want to work at a smaller...
