Metro Girl by Janet Evanovich is a very light hearted book, easy to read, and has reference to crime fiction. Also, the lovely bones by Alice Seabold is very good, and it also relates to journeys.

Its hard to stay motivated. But, if you write your goals for each of your subjects, and stick them on your wall near your desk, you look at them everyday, and really want that mark, and then you are motivated!!!! If you could follow that...

You can practically skip the first half of the book. It just sets up the characters and takes AGES to describe the setting. Nothing of interest happens until at least half way through, so you can really jump to there. However, you're going to have to read the whole thing one day to get decent...
