    Advance Copy of HSC timetable

Hey, where do you find out what dates your exams are on. Looked on Board of Studies, but lost patience. Our teachers haven't told us yet, and my firneds and I are trying to organise schoolies.

    The real inspector hound

Once you read it a few times, the conventions it is satirising become clearer. Our class had to act it out a few times before we understood in. Yeah, we are going to the performance in May in Paramatta. Our teacher has said that once we see it performed how it was supposed to be performed, it...

People who are doing crime fiction!!!

I'm about a quarter of the way through it, and its not that I'm finding it boring, its more the overload of descriptions that are annoying me. Does it get any better?

    BCS theory

BCS theory - I don’t understand something. (Look at the picture on page126 Excel top left) How come the lattice is attracted to the electron, (causing distortion,) not the electron to the lattice? Wouldn’t the lattice be stronger than a single electron and therefore have the ability to draw the...

    Do u think were behind???

I would be sort of worried if I were you, maybe you are doing them in too much detail! We are doing a topic a term, so we are about to start Motors and Generators this term (in less than a week, the holidays fly past!) We've done SPace last year, and Ideas to Implementation in term 1. If you...

    Frontline Study Guides?

I would sugest for you not to buy any of the study guides, make up your own study notes. That way, you make yourself think, and you remember your own thoughts better that someone else's. For each forntline text, all you really have to know is: breif synopsis context what issues are being...

The Real Inspector Hound - context

Does anyone have any info on the context of this play? I know it was published in 1968 or thereabouts, and I know and understand its relation to the theatre of the absurd, but is there any other context descriptions that I should be aware of? Our teacher hasn't given us much on it, and I've...

The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith and Metro Girl by Janet Evanovich are both lighthearted, crime fiction relevent with a female detective. Midsomer murders are screening at the moment on channel 9.

Wag The Dog - Satiric Techniques

There is a fair amount of exaggeration in the film - ie creating the perfect war hero - 'good old shoe' The fact that they go to the extent of making an authentic song, scratchy etc. Exaggeration - the whole concept of forging a war, too massive to be realistic Also there is a lot of irony -...

Year 11 wanting to do Ext Eng 2 for next year

I'm in year 12 now, and I chose not to do ext 2 cause it would be very unrealistic that I would be able to complete it throughout the year, meaning that it would be a massive rush at the end. My friends that are doing it now are finding it difficult because it is their last priority of a night...

    Where do you study?

I study at my desk most of the time, but I also find that if it is a nice day outside, I will study there. Public library sucks, so does the school one - they are both so noisy!

    KingsCross

Prostitution is a victemless crime, I'm not sure if that means it is illegal or not.

Can anyone help me with these two questions before my half yearly? A bottle of vinegar is labelled 4.0% w/v (4.0g per 100mL of solution) acetic acid (ethanoic acid) a) Describe the laboratory procedure you would use to verify this procedure. (3) b) Calculate te volume of 0.118mol/L NaOH...

HOw does Delegated legislations interact with precedents? PLZ HELP!

I don't think they do relate to each other. Delegated Legislation is the law made by sub ordinate or lower authorities. Precedents are laws based on previous cases, usually derived from Britain and Common law.

Wag The Dog - Satiric Techniques

Is anyone doing WAG THE DOG as one of their supplemetry texts for this module. If you are and you can think of any satiric techniques used in the film, can you please help me? I've having a lot of trouble with it. I understand how the truth is maipulated, but I am having trouble with the...

    Uai Help

If my rank in the class is low, but my mark is still relatively high, will that disadvantage me. Eg. my physics class has about 15 people in it, but it is extremely competitive, so there is no way that I will get in the top 6. Will thins work against me? In most of my classes (except legal)...
