What degree are you doing...? E.g. A commerce or arts student may have 12 hours of uni a week. A engineering student may have 25 hours of uni a week.

Very few people try in prelim. You will be suprised at who gets the top ranks in year 12.

Changing schools is not (solely) about getting better grades. It's about pushing your comfort zones. It's about meeting new people It's about making connections. It's about developing as a person. Ultimately, these will be more important in the later years.

Yes it is possible to get high 90's UAI with low raw 90s. It's even possible to get it with high 80's. But to maximise your chance, you ofcourse want your marks to be as high as possible.

You're right we should have no aligning. I'm sure plenty of schools will make VERY VERY hard assessments to differentiate their students. In fact I think with the introduction of no aligning most schools won't just put incredibly easy assessments so their students can get the highest UAI (/ATAR)...

ATAR and HSC are more or less the same system. SAME scaling, only difference is ATAR has no 100UAI First of all you just scaled marks. Yes you do have scaling, only difference is that yours is linear. Second how are you going to get the school based assessment mark without aligning? I spose...

That's the same as "scaling". General: E.g. for every 10% in the final exam they get 9.2 raw marks 4u: For every 10% in the final exam they get 10 raw marks. Only your version is much more linear (and more shit.)
