Well since the marking is computerised I think the results should be out by Tuesday next week:).

    Potential ECON2390: Business Economics Students.

Haha, nice:D. I wouldn't have a clue but why would you want it? The answers to the test are up on Blackboard:). I want my Money and Banking mid-semester quiz back:(.

    Potential ECON2390: Business Economics Students.

No, I hate smokers. It is such a turnoff:(.

    Potential ECON2390: Business Economics Students.

I didn't know you were allowed to drink alcohol outside. Haha, it would be funny to see his reaction if I did offer him some, I don't think he would know what to say:p.

    Business Finance

Yeah, I found about 75%-80% of it pretty straight forward but there were a few questions that made you think and that I thought were pretty tricky and will probably get wrong. How do you think you went? I think what you are trying to ask is that if we go better in the final exam (worth 60%) if...

    Business Finance

Hahahahaha! Oh man, that is great, not sitting an exam when you don't know for sure whether it is compulsory or not, hahaha:D!
  7. SoCal

    Business Finance

    So it wasn't compulsory:)?
  8. SoCal

    Business Finance

I can relax now, I don't have an exam for two weeks (well apart from next weeks spot test:():D! Anyway, I went into that exam thinking it was going to be so hard but it was surprisingly easy. I didn't quite get enough time to finish though, so I had to guess one question:(. Someone didn't turn...
  9. SoCal

    Business Finance

Oh no. That means that it will be on all that hard stuff we did before the mid-semester break. I had absolutely no idea on what he was going on about for most of that lecture:(. Yeah, but it may be compulsory to just sit and attempt the mid-semester exam:).

    Business Finance

I still have a lot of work to get through before the exam if I am to know the whole course (the last three weeks material in under eight hours:p):(. You are putting a lot of pressure on yourself to perform in the final exam if you don't attempt this quiz, especially since you didn't do the first...

    Business Finance

Ah, I see. I was doing it the other way (saying there are two fortnights in a month ,so there must be 12 fortnights in 6 months. I suppose his way is more accurate since there are 26 fortnights in a year, not 24):p. Well you answered that one and for the first one I see where you are coming...
  12. SoCal

    Potential ECON2390: Business Economics Students.

Why would have they expected that question to be asked though? If I wanted to cheat I wouldn't have written that. Anyway, how much better is the new lecturer! I actually stayed awake:D!

I Hate The School of Policy!

You had your picture in your signature on BOS for a while:p.

Isn't the formula only n-1 if the questions says something like : "You will be receiving 16 payments, the first of which occurs immediately." Then it would be raised to the power of n-1 or 15 but in this case that formula doesn't seem to make much sense to me. The annuity is just like a...

    Business Finance

    I have another question for you. For Week 3 Supplementary Question 4. (c) he changed the 0.4% p.f. interest rate to its effective half-yearly effective rate by: i(l) = (1 + i(s))^m - 1 i(l) = 1.004^13 - 1 Shouldn't 1.004 be raised to the power of 12 and not 13:confused:?
  16. SoCal

I Hate The School of Policy!

Haha, I thought I recognised you from somewhere:p. It was bad on many fronts. It was a reasonably hard exam but we didn't get enough time (but what would you expect from the School of Policy:rolleyes:). I also hate exams where you have to chose what questions to do, so I didn't like the exam...
  17. SoCal

    Potential ECON2390: Business Economics Students.

I want to know who the freak is that got 19.5/20 for the test. How could you possibly remember the exact numbers:eek:? Yeah, I was at the lecture:).
  18. SoCal

    Business Finance

The thing is you will actually be receiving 17 payments, the first immediately and then 16 more over the course of the next 8 years:). I am too lazy to do practise exams:p. I see you found the answer anyway:).
  19. SoCal

    Business Finance

You definitely make your first payment immediately, that is what annuity due means:).
  20. SoCal

    Business Finance

OK, I am trying to do some last minute cramming for Business Finance and Money and Banking and I have a question that some of you might know the answer to. For Week 3 Workshop Questions 1. (a) the answer he gave was was: P = $100 + $100/.0609 [1- (1/1.0609^15)] Now the question asks to...
