    Year 11 2014 Chat :)

I have a few ruse friends, they've never mentioned sticking an arm up a cow's arse before lol I'm sure it's a conversation/gossipy/ranting worthy moment though haha OMG XD That's so cute<3 haha I feel like I'm 5 again and just been to the easter show :P

    Work environment or the money?

Depends on how bad it is, but I would generally chose Option 2. The lower the stress levels the better c:

asdlkfjasfdj<3 What do you learn in agriculture? 8D Do you have any sessions with farm animals? :) <~ is too lazy to look up the syllabus As crazy as this sounds, agri seems pretty fun c: In a naive way. Like you could be frollicking in a meadow with rainbow laying chickens or cows or something :P

My maths sucked in yr 7-9 xD I'm so glad (and slightly annoyed) that year 11 reteaches you everything that you learn in year 7-10 (at least my school did) b/c personally I got stressed studying about maths precisely because I didn't know where to start. (as stupid as that sounds haha) LOL the...

Matrix Education or Dr Balan.... Chemistry tuition?

Not sure what Dr Balan is, but Matrix doesn't seem to be that great of a tutoring place in comparison to their prices in terms of chemistry. My classmate does tutoring at matrix and she has an extremely poor grasp of chem. According to her, they teach at a relatively ~fast~ speed? Maybe that's...

Comment here if you have an interesting hobby

I've finished 8th grade piano, have started and semi-quitted violin. I enjoy art more than music tho. Idk, sleeping? With the hours I conk out in, sleeping might actually count as a hobby for me :c //shot

    Free atar points

lol'ed this made my day xD You have too much time on your hands OP.
  9. F

Can I still get an 84 ATAR?

You need to provide your school rank or the range your school usually ranks within, for people to be able to estimate. E.g, a ruse student ranked in the top 50% of their cohort is going to, most likely, do better than a student from a 600 ranked school in the top 50% of their cohort.

    some questions

19/20 or 19/25? If it's the latter you may need to start worrying esp if you're aiming for 99.95, if it's the first one, you're fine.

    Extension 3 maths

You're the same as one of my friends. She's acing ext 1 but asian failing 2u. On the other hand, I reckon she's just not studying for the 2u course and only studying for ext 1 - which makes no sense when ext 1 only counts 1 unit and 2 unit counts for, well, two units.

    some questions

You'll be surprised :) It lets your formulate arguments beyond the obvious approaches. You don't lose anything by doing it, and you can potentially gain something from reading it so y not? I can confirm it works for me - obv it will vary from person to person, depending on how well you can pick...

What does maff actually mean? I thought it was maths with an asian accent (that's how I've been using it) but apparently the 'ff' actually means something other than aural blunder?

    some questions

For starters, you could read your assigned text? It doesn't sound like you're doing that if you rely on content from websites such as sparknotes - it's fine to use them, but it's recommended (duh) to read your given text to gain a better appreciation/understanding of what you're using to...

    some questions

n/a means no answer. There are probably excel books on the course but really, Eext1 just carries on the same principles applied in eng adv. Besides the textbooks you mentioned would therefore be most likely about either english writing technique or individual texts - which varies from school to...

How to remember everything in Maths and score full marks?

TBH your question suggests you may be rote-learning? Understand your concepts, if you can't memorise the formulas, maybe try deriving? As for the second part of your question, practise makes perfect:) Don't expect to get full marks if you're not willing to put in the effort.

Should I drop English advanced ?

The standard course scales lower than Advanced and still predominently requires the same skills anyways. I wouldn't suggest switching - rather stick with eng Adv. Note that one of the reasons you may have struggled with english is the fact that you're not prepared for your assessments. Start...
  19. F

    some questions

For me: 1) n/a 2) Just study it like you would do for eng adv. TBH there's not really much of a difference between eng adv and eng ext other than the latter has longer essays 3) ... As many as you like? It all depends on how much you're struggling/how good at eng you are 4) I haven't...

    Safest suburb in sydney

Obv Dee why's asian population is low compared to places like ashfield and hearstville (dunno if that's the right spelling). However, it has a relatively high population of immigrants compared to other northern beaches areas such as Monavale etc. THe point I was making was that low immigrant...
