    Chem1011

Most people do have their tutorials and their labs together - mainly because some tutors are lab demonstrators and sometimes explain what you'll be doing in the lab during the tutorial.

    How to Reference Properly

Harvard is inserting the author and book title within the essay itself. Oxford is using footnotes. Then a bibliography at the end of both. There will be examples in your subject handbooks given in your first lecture.

    Colesmyer - Kmart

The Coles Myer group interview was weird. They make you do a jigsaw puzzle in your group, answer a scenario and write down all this crap about customers. Pfft.

    How to Reference Properly

I kept getting in trouble in Sociology for using Oxford referencing instead of Harvard referencing. Gay. Go the footnotes.

    Chemistry bridging course @ parra

Just wondering - how long do these bridging courses run for? I'm just thinking how bad it would be trying to learn Chemistry in a limited number of days/weeks. o_O

    Uwsforums.com

The other university forums were advertised without a complain. I don't see that there's anything wrong with advertising a forum specially made for UWS Students :)

Article in the SMH about UWS

The paper points to flaws in the university's structure, saying "UWS has never been a financially rich institution, yet the range of undergraduate academic programs offered . . . is the second most diverse in the country". Damn right. Stick that to yourselves, you elitist bastards.

Here are the books you need for your subjects !

Babyslug, you'll end up needing two criminology books this year that I know of - at a cost of about $70 each. It's the devil. I'm not going to buy textbooks until Week 3. Pfft.

    Thoughts/feelings bout starting uni...

Hahaha, there is no way you could get lost at Bankstown Campus. Noooo way. YAY UNI! ABOUT BLOODY TIME! *is bored*

has anyone got their Letter in their mail to pay your Fees yet?

Haha, nah. If most people you know got one and you didn't, just go into the Student Centre and enquire why.

is your course or UWS worth it?

There are still chances to transfer even if you don't have a high GPA, I've seen it happen, so don't get discouraged if it's something you want to do. I still think all this prestige stuff is complete bullshit. I concur with memo, uni isn't like high school where getting 70/80+ is a piece...

has anyone got their Letter in their mail to pay your Fees yet?

Student Association fees All students of the university are members of the various student associations currently operating across UWS. There is one set of common fees which apply across all UWS campuses, depending on your level of attendance. The fees are as follows and include GST...
