    Stressing about Mathematics...

I would suggest working hard to achieve the mark for SC.. And if you do get that mark which allows you to do 2 unit maths, and if its too hard you can always drop down to general (in either year 12 or next year). School HSC rank

I don't think its that many. A lot come from non-top 10 ranking schools, selective, private and just public schools. But to me, a good ranking school would be top 50.

    School HSC rank

Dunno if there is a "cutoff" -- I'd think its more opinion? Like my school is ranked just outside the top 100, yet we still get at least 3 students each year who get 99 +. IMO, 30 is a good rank.

    School HSC rank

I did a quick search, and according to this article: http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/familiar-faces-were-best-in-the-state/2007/12/19/1197740380964.html That was in 2007, but I'm guessing they have topped the state prior to that-maybe just not consecutively.

    Science Reactions

From memory, it was in the year 10 Core Science text book.

Can a person choose 2 TVET courses?

I'm pretty sure you can.. but to get a UAI you can only do 1 VET course (so you'll have to drop 1 in year 12)
