If thats where your interests lie then go for it. You are more likely to be motivated to work hard if you enjoy it. Like ^ said, the more essays you right the more practice you get and you ll improve alot in all your subjectts

At school... try not to be too distracted by your friends lol. Im totally guilty of that. At home.. don't study for longer than about 30mins without having a break. Year 10 doesnt mean a whole lot, and if you have a little bit of intelligence and common sense you'll do fine without great study...

Yeah they did but I can imagine they went a hell of alot quicker for the 08'ers.
